The Alan Hu Foundation’s mission is to promote mental health, raise awareness and remove stigma surrounding psychiatric disorders, and support fundamental research for cures. The Alan Hu Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit organization.

Alan Hu (2002-2018)

Alan noticed his symptoms of psychiatric disorders way before anyone else did and reached out to his parents for help. He fought bravely with the help of dedicated treatment teams, including psychiatrists and psychologist, with doting parents, his brother and grandparents, with caring teachers and friends, and with many people who prayed for his recovery. When Alan felt better, he said, “My psychiatrist is my healer. He found the right medication combination for me. I want to be a psychiatrist and be somebody else’s healer.”

Devastating to his loved ones, Alan passed away due to his mental disorders on January 7, 2018. He was fifteen. Read more about Alan’s story.

The Alan Hu Foundation will carry out Alan’s wish to bring a better day to other people who suffer from horrible mental diseases.
